We arrived in Venice on the sleeper train at about 5:30am. It is before the cruise ships arrive and the locals awake. It truly earns its name at that hour. "La Serenissima"
As you can probably tell from my multitude of comments, your trip looked amazing! Jon is lucky to have such a great tour guide. :) And you are lucky to have such an easy going travel companion!
